Biography

 Nikki is the Director of Residence Life and oversees daily residential student service, support, and success. The residence life team supervises the resident advisor and desk assistant staff. Nikki serves on a number of university groups including the Behavioral Interventions Team, Student Success Collaborative, and is a Title IX Deputy Coordinator. She also leads the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) task force.

Nikki holds a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University and a master’s in college student development from Kansas State University. She has worked professionally in various housing operations, residence life, and student affairs positions for the last 13 years and has an expertise and vested interest in crisis response/support and removing systemic barriers to student success. Nikki came to Wayne State with an excitement to lead a strong, educational, and sustainable residence life program with hopes of living on campus becoming a hallmark experience for Warriors.
