- Nikki Dunham named new Director of Residence Life
- Nikki Dunham has been named the new director of residence life in the Office of Housing and Residential Life. Prior to starting at Wayne State, Dunham was an assistant director of residential life.at Northwestern University. During her tenure at her previous institution, she had a focus on student leadership development and hopes to utilize her experience to further enhance the resident experience at Wayne State.

- Making Campus Crosswalks More Accessible
- After talking with a visually impaired campus resident, Gerry Tilson, Director of SAS Facilities, began working in the Fall 2018 semester with Facilities Planning & Management and the Office of Parking & Transportation Services to make crossing Anthony Wayne Dr. safer and more accessible to all students. After months of planning with the City of Detroit's Traffic Engineering Department, the City’s first audible crosswalk signal is installed at the Williams Mall and Anthony Wayne Dr. crosswalk.
